false: Boolean False

false is the logical value representing an unmet condition. It is used in comparisons, filters, and conditional expressions.

Software semantics

Use and(), or(), and not() to combine or reverse boolean values. Do not confuse false with numeric zero or an empty text value unless a rule explicitly converts them.

Use False in a calculation

Enter false on a calculator line to see its built-in value, or place the name inside a longer expression. Keep any displayed unit attached when converting or combining physical quantities, and check that every other value uses a compatible dimension.
